So far, Bemax company has built 8,6 km of tunnels on the road section Smokovac – Uvač – Mateševo of the Bar – Boljare highway. Bemax is the biggest subcontractor of the CRBC, the main building contractor.
On this priority highway section, Bemax works on the construction of four tunnels, seven bridges, two overpasses, sustaining walls made of reinforced earth as well as different constructions on the route.
Bemax is expected to complete the tunnel Suka and it already started the concrete work on the tunnel Vežešnik. Bemax is in charge of the one half of the tunnel Vjeternik, which is the biggest one on the highway, along with Moračica.
Bemax company has all the necessary equipment for the drilling, and it has a special team for each tunnel. The aforementioned Vežešnik tunnel is very long and, therefore, it’s drilled on both sides.
Seven bridges are currently being constructed and they are 40 % finished. These bridges will be built in two ways – with the classic scaffolding, except for the bridge Krkor. Krkor, because of its form, will be constructed with the use of MSS (Movable Scaffolding System) and it’s the only way.
