Budva

According to the “Guest survey”, a tourist from Serbia spending his vacation in Montenegro is on average 35 years old, spends his vacation with family, comes with a car, and books the accommodation by phone.

As Mrs Nina Vukčevič, representative of NTO, told Tanjug, citizens of Serbia usually come to Montenegro for a passive rest and fun, usually stay from 8 to 10 days and spend €437, which is €55 on a daily basis.

According to her, guests from Serbia prefer Budva, Herceg Novi and Ada Bojana.

“Excursion tourism is currently in expansion. Tourists from Serbia like visiting national parks for a day, try cruising the Skadar lake, rafting, wine, gastronomic and other tours”, says Mrs Vukčević.

Apart from private accommodation, tourists from Serbia have been choosing three or four-star hotels, where overnight with a breakfast might be €45 per person.

She adds that guests from Serbia aren’t demanding but they want to feel comfortable and to be provided with high-quality service.

“They mostly complain about the noise and impurity. We try hard to overcome these challenges. As soon as we get the complaint we automatically refer it to competent inspections”, said Mrs Vukčević.

In the first three months of 2019, around 18.000 tourists from Serbia visited Montenegro. That’s by 44% higher than in the same period last year.

Currently, guests from Serbia account for 19,5% in the structure of foreign guests.

Mrs Vukčevič pointed out that Serbian market was one of the most important markets and that Serbian tourists were very loyal and willing to come to Montenegro again.
