Agreement on Future seems to mean nothing anymore

Almost two months have passed since the ‘Agreement on Future’ was signed but now it means nothing, as no one – neither the political parties nor the political groups that signed it – even mentions it.

A its Congress, the Democratic Montenegro, led by Aleksa Bečić, adopted the new program and political declaration but not a word was said about ‘the Agreement for Future’, writes Pobjeda, a daily.

Mr Bečić delivered speech at the Congress but mostly talked about the past, noting that “the first and basic question is –who makes up the opposition in Montenegro, who works for the benefits of the citizens and who for the DPS”.

“Let us first see who are those truly wanting to win the DPS and stay in power, who are those who want to be the members of the opposition, and who is part of the fake opposition,” underlined Mr Bečić.

The Association ‘Da svako ima’, consisting of the SNP, United Montenegro, Working Party and the independent MPs, also seems to give up on the Agreement.

The ‘Resist!’ movement, which also signed the Agreement, said that the SDP, by voting in favor of Jokić’s dismissal, excluded itself from the document.

According to unofficial but reliable information of Pobjeda daily, a part of the opposition parties found out about the date of new protests, scheduled for today, via media.
