Arabs are building a five-star hotel in the “Kolašin 1450” resort

Kolašin Resort&Spa company from Podgorica, is going to build a five-star hotel “Westin Kolašin Resort” in the mountain ski center “Kolašin 1450” as part of Spatial Planning for special purposes.

Acting state architect, Mr Dušan Vuksanović, has given consent to the conceptual design of the project. It was said that the hotel had been projected in accordance with the hotel standards of hotel Marriot hotel operator and valid regulations.

Mr Stefan Stojanovič is the CEO of the enterprise. Mr Mohammed Abdul Alim Chowdhury is the President of the Board and authorized representative. Oriental Management INC company is the founder and owner of Kolašin Resort&Spa. On 20 June, the Government included this projects on the list of development projects as the first one to be carried out within the economic citizenship program. The investment is worth €11,3 million and it’s going to create 66 new jobs.

Studio K from Podgorica, founded by Mr Dragan Komatina, is the designer of the hotel which is going to be built at the urban parcel UP 2, part of cadastral municipality Smrčje. It covers a surface area of 6.070 square meters.

The facility is located on the southern side of the parcel which borders with the ski resort. Paljevinski stream is the natural border of the parcel. The access is going to be provided on the west side, across the bridge joining the road from Kolašin and finishing with a roundabout in front of the hotel. The hotel will have a basement, ground floor, two floors and an attic. Gross surface are of the hotel will be 10.532 square meters.

It will consist of 93 accommodation units, i.e. 186 beds. Two main lifts and a central staircase will lead to accommodation units. According to the design, there will be four apartments. A restaurant and a lobby bar will be on the ground floor, near reception and hall. Terraces will be located on the southern side, with a ski resort view.

Congress hall will be located in the basement and it will have special entrance.

Since the surface are of the location is small, 3 above-ground parking places and a bus stop have been projected. Underground garage will have 44 parking places for the guests and 9 parking places for the employees. Dominant surface of main facades will be coated with decorative vertical whitened-oak elements. Dark-grey metal elements are in the second plan, whereas the third plan represents glass surfaces with golden-yellow reflection effect, surrounded by stone. Gable walls covered with pre-fabricated light-mahogany materials are the fourth artistic element.

The hotel will be using fuel oil for heating, until the construction of heating system at the mountain center level. There will be 75-80 solar collectors for the preparation of sanitary hot water.
