In case beach tenants defy the provisions Agreement they had signed with the Public enterprise for Coastal Zone Management concerning beach equipment, they shall be imposed a punishment, said the representatives of the Inspection Administration.

Explaining the misunderstanding that arose after social network users had complained about the fact that they had to pay sunbeds and sunshades after 5 pm, representatives of the Inspection Administration said that tenants weren’t obliged to highlight the provision that beach equipment is free of charge after 5 pm.

“Rule book on more detailed requirements regarding organization and equipment, types and conditions for using bathing areas, which was adopted in accordance with the Law on Tourism and Hospitality, stipulates that tenants are obliged to display the equipment prices. However, the Rule Book  does not point out the time when the equipment must be paid. Tenant is obliged to define that time and point it out on the information board. Tourist inspection will impose a punishment on the  tenants who fail to obey the defined time”, said the representatives of the Inspection Administration.

The pointed out that authorizations and competences of the inspection had been defined by the Law on Tourism and Hospitality.

“A contract between the tenant of a bathing area and the Coastal Zone Management is an obligatory relationship, and, therefore, is not within the inspection’s competence”.
