Bogdanović: Brutal attack on Montenegro’s most sublime values

Commenting on persisting devastation of cultural and historical landmarks, such as destruction of the marble plaque on the monument in Ravni laz, sacrilege of the Tower in Trojica above Kotor and burning Montenegrin flags, Mr Aleksandar Bogdanović, Minister of Culture, said that this was just another brutal attack on the most sublime values of Montenegro.

“These days we are witnesses of the most open, orchestrated campaign of manipulations from Serbia, which is firmly endorsed by part of local politicians. Disinformation campaign continues – from the alleged explosion in Berane, planting photomontage from abroad, to the claims of the forthcoming fratricidal war. This comes as no surprise for us. This is just continuation of the perennial media and propaganda chase coming from the addresses outside our country”, Mr Bogdanović said.
He pointed out that knowledge, will and discipline should be the way to approaching other social challenges, just like we approached the coronavirus problem.

“Due to the differences in failed ideas, bloody wars were waged in this region. Whoever failed to learn some lessons from those experiences, will have problem with Montenegro. But one thing is sure – we will not allow our country to become a training ground for the implementation of devastating plans of the principals from the side”, Minister said.

He added that anyone who didn’t mind Montenegro as secular, civil state, were reliable partners of this Government.

Minister called for the reasonable approach to settling the situation and called on everybody who performed acts of vandalism and worked to inflict damage on Montenegro to turn to their country and its interests instead of listening to the “advice” from Belgrade.
