Budva: Murder suspects arrested

Brothers Ilija and Bosko Pavlovic were arrested on Thursday in Budva. They are suspected of serious murder, creating a criminal organisation and illegal possession of weapons and explosive substances, the Special State Prosecutor’s Office (SDT) and the Police Directorate said.

As CdM unofficially learns the brothers are associated with the murder of Budva residents Djordje Boreta and Dragan Zecevic. Boreta and Zecevic were killed on 7 December 2016 in front of the Trofej cafe in Becici, when the perpetrators randomly shot at the guests there from the automatic rifle.

As Police Directorate stated, during search a large quantity of illegally possessed equipment, weapons and ammunition were found.

“Upon SDT’s order, police officers searched several buildings in Budva that, as suspected, were used for hiding objects and tools for committing serious crimes by certain individuals, members of a criminal organisation operating in the territory of several coastal municipalities,” it was said in the joint statement of SDT and Police Directorate.
