Carević is opposing his party counterparts again

Some very negatively-tones statements regarding the USA are coming from Democratic Front a lot these days, especially when it comes to the alleged US meddling into the internal affairs of Montenegro.

Spokesman of the New Serbian Democracy, Mr Marko Kovačević, said that, although the US Ambassador, Ms Judy Rising Reinke had tried to criticize Russia and its meddling into the internal affairs of Montenegro, releasing the transcript of the conversation between Mr Milan Roćen and Mr Oleg Deripaska had shown that US administration was well into meddling into the internal affairs of sovereign countries.

“Also, we shouldn’t forget that high State Department official, Mr Brian Hoyt Yee visited Montenegro 10 days before parliamentary elections in 2016, and tried to form the government in advance, using the political subjects favored by the USA“, reads the DF statement.

The statement says that Ms Reinke pays no attention to democracy or human rights in Montenegro. She only cares about the interests of her own state and is valuing the elements that are useful for the USA.

“Therefore, it comes as no surprise that she is hailing makeshift political processes against DF. DF is never going to pursue servile policy. We are always going to defend Montenegro and Montenegrin people”, reads the statement.

However, on the other side, leader of NOVA and president of the Municipality of Budva, Mr Marko Bato Carević, seems to think the opposite.

“America is the requirement for stability, democracy, economic stability, humanity…  everything. Long live America! Amen!”, said Mr Carević.

He said that in the meeting with the congressman, Mr Robert B. Aderholt and used that opportunity to invite Mr Aderholt and his collaborators to Montenegro.

Mr Carević has talked to the honorary consul of Montenegro in the USA, Mr Danilo Ivančević, who is one of the most successful businessman in West Palm Beach, Florida.

This isn’t the first time that Mr Carević opposes his party. When he came to this function, he met with Mr Milo Đukanović and Mr Duško Marković in order to discuss the ways of improving relations between opposition and the government and by doing so, he took great risk.

Mr Carević even attended the Prayer Breakfast in Washington.
