Certain MNE media companies influenced by drug gangs

Darko Trifunović

In an interview for the weekend edition of Dnevne Novine daily, Serbian security expert, Darko Trifunović told rival drug gangs in Montenegro often use media to pitch battles among themselves but Montenegro is capable of fighting organized criminal groups, which was best proven by the latest coup attempt.

When asked why he believed so, Trifunović reflected on 2016 because, according to him, it was very interesting to found out which media company was funded by the Russian controversial tycoon Konstantin Malofeev. “It was very interesting to monitor certain Montenegrin media companies which actively took part in endeavors to destroy Montenegro and which took the money from Putin’s Soros, at the same time taking the money from the EU, reportedly to contribute to the development of democracy. Everybody knows which media organizations I’m talking about. And this was not only the case in Montenegro but in Serbia as well,” noted Trifunović.

It’s evident there are clashes among the rival drug gangs in Montenegro and soon we are to find out which one of them exactly orders media attacks, according to Trifunović. It’s crucial for the state to recognize and therefore reacts on each attack so that the public knows the truth.

“Compared to the coup attempt, these gang attacks are of minor importance and shouldn’t be a problem for Montenegro. The country proved to have capacities to defend itself. Majority of citizens wasn’t aware of the gravity of situation you were facing,” said Trifunović.

Commenting of the Serbia’s statements referring to clashes between gangs in Montenegro, Trifunović said Serbia should be ashamed of saying smth like that as it allowed some dangerous people to register real estate on its territory and personal documents as well.
