Charter lines for greater visits of Czech tourists

President of the Chamber of Commerce, Mr Vlastimir Golubović, and ambassador of the Czech Republic, Mr Karel Urban, have discussed possibilities for intensifying economic cooperation between the two countries after the COVID-19 pandemic is over.

Mr Golubović pointed out that Montenegro’s response to the outbreak was effective and that it was now focused on the activities which would contribute to the economic recovery.

“We need to intensify business activities as much as possible and use the forthcoming season. The good thing is that we had small degree of disease and we are on the way to become corona-free destination”, Mr Golubović said.

He expressed expectation that results in tourism sector would contribute to domestic and regional arrivals. He called guests from the Czech Republic to spend their summer vacation in Montenegro.

“Greater arrivals from the Czech Republic would definitely be result of charter lines between the two countries – said president of the Chamber.

Ambassador agreed with Mr Golubović and reminded that Czech airline had negotiations with the Airports of Montenegro before the pandemic and expressed expectation that they would soon resume.

Ambassador Urban expressed interest in the areas of Montenegrin economy which would be in focus of development activities after the epidemic.

He reminded that the Czech AŽD company had been in Montenegro for many years and said it was interested in further development on Montenegrin market.

Interlocutors said construction of cement furnaces in Montenegro would be a good area for cooperation. Mr Golubović said that Pljevlja had great raw basis for the production of cement.
