Issuing passports for minor children and even babies costs €40.00, which is €25 more than it was until recently. The Ministry of Interior explains that the reason for this is the 2016 amended Law on Administrative Fees, which stipulates passport fee amounting to €25.
“Also, according to the decision on fees for passport form and travel documents, the passport form fee amounts to €15,” the ministry added.
During January, children’s passport issuing cost €15, but the fee in February has gone up by €25.
Passport for children under four is valid for two years, while the passport for children older than four years is valid for 10 years.
The administrative fees and passport form fee for an adult has not changed compared to the previous year and they amount to €40 in total.
