The total estimated value of the construction of the hydro power plant Komarnica amounts to EUR 237.8 million, suggests the concept of the urban plan for the multi-purpose accumulation on river Komarnica. The document was published by the Montenegrin Ministry of Sustainable Development and Tourism, MORiT, so that the public knows about it, and no remark was received during the public hearing that lasted from 16 May to 16 June.
“The HPP Komarnica will be using hydropower potential of river Komarnica, between the accumulation Piva and residential zone Šavnik, reaching the canyon Nevidio, while the canyon itself won’t be endangered,” says the document.
According to the conceptual design, the HPP Komarnica consists of a dam, machine hall, supply and evacuation facilities, as well as a plant with the supporting facility and infrastructure.
