Construction of the motorway enhances Montenegrin economy

Vice President of the Government for Economic policy and financial system, Milutin Simović, opened in Budva today, the jubilee 40th Building construction trade fair, 13th Fair of Plumbing and Sanitary Technology and 6th Energy trade fair. Partner country of the fair is People’s Republic of China.

Simović pointed out that participation of the exhibitors from 18 countries serves as a confirmation of attractiveness of the Montenegrin construction sector and overall economy and investment potentials of Montenegro.

“Continuous trends of growth of the activities in the construction sector clearly indicate the growing interest of domestic and foreign investors in the Montenegrin market and confirm that the Government’s efforts put in the improvement of the business environment bring clear results. We successfully sustain dynamic growth, create new jobs and improve the quality of life of our citizens”, said Simović.

 

He thanked Minister of the Environmental Protection of China,Li Ganjie, for visiting Montenegro and for the support the Chinese government offered to Montenegro.  Simović expressed special satisfaction about the fact that CRBC company is  bearer of the exhibition of China at this year’s fair. CBRC is our partner and main contractor in the project of the construction of the first section of Bar- Boljari motorway.

This project has significantly contributed to the growth of Montenegrin economy. However, the most important positive results of the motorway can be expected after it is finished and after we are connected with key European traffic corridors, markets and emitting tourism zones.

Reports of relevant international institutions and organizations, IMF in the first place, which stated that Montenegrin economy is stable, confirm that financial sector is being improved and that macroeconomic prospects have stabilized.

“We are not advocates of protectionism and closures, but we rather vote for openness and partnership. Investors from 113 countries who do their business in Montenegro are proof for that”, said Simović.
