Contract with S-RM Intelligence and Risk Consulting LTD, UK was signed today. The Secretariat issued a license for the assessment of international suitability agent.
“A foreigner who hasn’t been convicted in Montenegro or in some other country and who was given positive assessment by the agent, can apply for Montenegrin citizenship”, said the representatives of the government.
The Government of Montenegro authorized Mr Dejan Medojevć, Secretary of the Secretariat for development projects, to sign the contract.
Program for the acquisition of Montenegrin citizenship on the basis of investments will last three years, starting from 1 January 2019. It will be limited to 2.000 requests.
The applicant might acquire Montenegrin citizenship if he/she paid specific amount for him/herself and family members and if he/she deposited €100.000 for the development of less developed local administration units in the ESCROW account.
In addition, a person can acquire citizenship if he paid at least €450.000 in Escrow account for the one of the development projects in Podgorica or coastal region, or at least €250.000 for one of the development projects in the northern or central region of Montenegro.
