Coronavirus collapse about to happen

Hundreds got infected with the coronavirus in Montenegro and almost half of them are tourists. The Chief Nursing Officer in Budva says that the system is close to collapse. The Head of the Public Health Institute, Igor Galic, warns about the situation, adding that local transmission has been spreading at an alarming pace.

Meanwhile, Health Minister, Jelena Borovinic Bojovic, stays silent. No one reacts even though there’s been chaos regarding infections in Montenegro. Foreigners don’t take a Covid test and even if they do, they don’t care about the results. The Delta variant spreads quickly.

Collapse is about to happen and it’s a fact but no one is going to impose tighter measures until 20 August, that is, until the end of the peak summer season.

The CdM portal urged the Ministry of Health and the Minister to tell more about the procedure for foreigners tested positive for the coronavirus in our country, whether they have to self-isolate and what the costs of their treatment are, but, as usual, no one has responded so far.

The Minister and her ministry remain silent…
