COVID-19 cases rise in Montenegro, Institute for Public Health confirms another 87 cases

Number of coronavirus cases in Montenegro are on the rise. In the last 24 hours Institute for Public Health analyzed 709 samples and found 87 positive tests. Two patients passed away today, due to coronavirus. Number of active cases per 100.000 inhabitants amounts to 129.

New cases are from Podgorica (41), Berane (12), Nikšić (9), Bijelo Polje (7), Pljevlja (6), Rožaje (3), Budva (3), Cetinje (2), Bar (1), Herceg Novi (1), Plav (1) and Ulcinj (1).

“Persons who died were from Podgorica and Rožaje”, Institute pointed out.

Analysis of another death case is underway.

Total number of death cases is 14.

“Total number of cases since the beginning of June is 840. Ten persons have recovered and 14 have died, which means that number of active cases is 816”, Institute says.
