CPC won’t build a church on Malo Brdo

Stevo Vučinić

The Montenegrin Orthodox Church (CPC) will not build a church on a plot on the Malo Brdo hill in Podgorica, which the city authorities granted to CPC in 2013.

The deputy chairman of the CPC Metropolitan Council Stevo Vucinic confirmed for RTCG.

As he said the granted plot would be returned to the city. CPC will try to get an adequate location instead of it, a one closer to the city centre.

“I think that the mayor will be able to find a satisfactory solution and that we will get a suitable plot located near the city centre. Considering the fact that Serbian Orthodox Church in Montenegro (SPC) got the location in the centre of the city, we believe that CPC should get it as well,” Vucinic said.
