Dakić and Filipović pay a visit to Montenegrin soldiers in Latvia

Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Montenegro, brigadier general, Mr Dragutin Dakić, and state secretary in the Ministry of Defense, Mr Slobodan Filipović, are in a two-day visit to the members of the Armed Forces engaged in the NATO EFP mission in Latvia.

Mr Dakić met with the chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces in Latvia, lieutenant general Leonīds Kalniņš. Mr Filipović had a meeting with the secretary of state in the Ministry of Defense of Latvia, Mr Jānis Garisons.

They discussed their cooperation and considered models of its improvement.

Mr Dakić and Mr Filipović also met with the commander of the Mechanized infantry brigade of the Armed Forces of Latvia, colonel Sandris Gaugers, and the commander of the battle group which includes Montenegrin contingent, lieutenant colonel Michael Rickey.

Colonel Gaugers and lieutenant colonel Rickey acquainted Mr Dakić and Mr Filipović with the composition of the group and its tasks. Lieutenant colonel hailed high level of the professionalism of Montenegrin soldiers.

Mr Dakić and Mr Filipović met with the members of the Montenegrin contingent and attended training session for setting and removing minefield.
