Chief of the General Staff of the Army of Montenegro, the Brigadier general, Dragutin Dakić, is taking part at the conference “Countering violent extremist organizations 2018” which is being held for the third time in Washington.
“The conference is dedicated to the analysis of global threats caused by violent extremist organizations, and the aim is strengthening efforts of the strategic approach of military countering such organizations”, reports the Ministry of Defense.
Joseph Dunford, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, pointed out the objectives of the Conference regarding trans-regional nature of violent extremist organizations and promotion of joint approach in order to reinforce strategic approach of military countering.
The necessity of the participation of all partner nations was also emphasized, as well as the need for cooperation at the strategic level.
