Davidović: Montenegro tourism about to hit record highs

Damir Davidović

State Secretary in the Ministry of Sustainable Development and Touristm (MORiT) Mr Damir Davidović says Montenegro is about to have another record-breaking tourism year.

“According to unofficial data we obtained from the Montenegrin tourism organizations, the number of tourists in our country is by 39 per cent higher compared to the same period last year. The season is not over yet. Data show that we already have 600,000 more overnight stays in July and part of August, that there are around 200,000 tourists more, and that our revenues rose by 4-5 per cent, so I think that Montenegro visitor numbers will hit record levels. Again,” said Mr Davidović following the session of the Tourism and Hospitality Committee of the Chamber of Commerce of Montenegro.

Montenegro is a competitive tourism destination when it comes to prices, according to him.

“We have a wide range of places to offer in MNE, from high-end localities to places for people with average earnings.”
