The average gross salary in May this year in Montenegro amounted to 773 euro, while the average salary without taxes and contributions (net) amounted 518 euro, the Statistical Office of Montenegro, MONSTAT, stated.
According to their data, the average net salary in May dropped by 0.6% compared to April, while the average net salary in May 2020 dropped by 1% compared to April.
“If we take into account the fact that consumer prices in May went down by 0.1% compared to April, it’s realistic to face reduced real net salaries for this same period by 0.7%,” MONSTAT noted.
