Demos protests: Danilovic to organize a private assembly

Vučelić i Lekić

As a president of the executive board of Demos Goran Danilovic cannot schedule a session of the party assembly, even with the help of his supposed majority, because the statute does not recognize such a “body”, said member of the executive board of Demos Maja Vucelic.

Vucelic asked Danilovic in her press statement to explain his grounds on writing and publishing statements of the executive board without first checking with all the members, Dnevne novine daily writes.

Danilovic is “constantly breaking the statute of the party”, according to Vucelic, and is “brutally abusing party bodies, overtaking the steering board”.

“I am asking you to read the statute that you took part in writing, because than you would know that your majority does not hold force. You cannot schedule sessions, otherwise that would be your private assembly”, Vucelic said.

Vice president of the executive board of Demos Aleksandar Rakocevic reacted to Vucelic’s statement, saying that he attended the session where they voted and adopted decisions with a ⅗ majority.

These days, the public is receiving differing statements from Demos, that arrive from the same email address.

Some emails are written in latin script, others in cyrillic, which could be one of the reasons for the ongoing dispute in the party.
