Deposits in banks reach record high level

According to the preliminary statistical data, published by the main state-level institution of the financial system, citizens, economy and the Government had a total of €3,55 billion of deposit in banks at the end of November.

That’s the record high since 2003. Total credit indebtedness amounted to €3,09 billion.

At the end of November, Montenegrin citizens had €1,31 billion in national financial institutions. Foreign deposits reached €467,51 million. Funds of the financial institutions amounted to €38,93 million.

Municipalities had €83,1 million in deposits, whereas social funds had €5,83 million.

Funds of NGOs and other non-profit organizations are considerable too. Organizations headquartered in Montenegro had €58,86 million in deposits, and organizations abroad had €3,5 million.

At the end of last month, mandatory reserves of Montenegrin banks amounted to €258,17 million.
