DF won’t ask the Prime Minister for the term of office extension

Democratic Front (DF) said yesterday that they wouldn’t allow political instability to move to Budva. However, they wouldn’t ask Mr Duško Marković for the extension of their term of office.

Representatives of DF said that the attempt to proclaim emergency political state in Budva and create the atmosphere of government crisis was quite obvious.

“Regardless of the misunderstandings that naturally exist within every coalition, we think that maintaining government in Budva has no alternative. There are no backstage actions and hidden intentions in our policy. Therefore, insinuations about holding secret meetings and negotiations are just groundless story and political spinning”, said the representatives of DF.

Representatives of Democrats, Montenegrin party and URA asked Mr Marko Bato Carević , president of the Municipality of Budva, when and under what circumstances he had met with the president of Montenegro, Mr Milo Đukanović. They wanted to know who had arranged the meeting and what the subject had been?

“Mr Carević doesn’t have any reason to meet in private with Mr Đukanović, Mr Marković or anybody from DPS. Especially since DPS is our greatest political adversary”, said the representatives of DF.

They point out that their objective is maintaining the government in Budva and showing the public that change in the government is desirable and that citizens made right decision in the elections in 2016.

“Since we acknowledged the matrix that caused political crisis in Kotor, we won’t allow the same thing in Budva. We promise that we won’t allow anybody to question the free will of citizens as it’s the imperative in our political actions. Unlike our coalition partners in Kotor, DF will never ask Marković or any other DPS official for the extension of term of office. We will govern this town responsibly and with dignity, as long as we enjoy our citizens’ support”, said the representatives of DF.
