So far, 150 companies have expressed interest to participate in the dual education system, said the education minister, Damir Šehović, adding that he expects even more by the beginning of enrollment.
The Ministry of Education today officially started the campaign ‘Vocational is Crucial- learn, earn and improve yourself’, and the deadline for submitting the application is June 2018.
Mr Šehović told at the press conference that a 5-year educational reform represented a serious project, which has been also approved by the latest European Commission report.
“About 20% of children applied for the 3-year programs and nearly 40% of them are included in the dual education system. This system is taking hold after almost a decade and we currently have about 280 children who entered it and chose about 100 companies,” said Šehović, stressing that pupils are getting a decent monthly payment during their 3-year studies.
