President of Montenegro Milo Đukanović has congratulated International Women’s Day, pointing out the position of women in Montenegrin society in the moments when it is facing the Covid-19 pandemic. He says that the steps of modern society should be followed towards full affirmation of gender equality.
“We are celebrating International Women’s Day in a pandemic that has further highlighted women’s inequality and increased their vulnerability in almost all areas of life”, says President Đukanović.
He has expressed his belief that Montenegro, following the steps of modern civil society, will achieve the full affirmation of women’s gender equality.
