Dynamic economic growth in Montenegro is going to be a reality in the forthcoming years, said the Vice-President of the Government for economic policy and financial system, Milutin Simović.
He held an introductory lecture in the event “Destinations on the rise 2019 – Montenegro”. The event took place in Vienna, in the organization of the Southeast Europe Business Development Network and Grimex Consult Company and in partnership with the Austrian media house “Die Presse”.
Mr Simović pointed out very positive indicators of the growth of Montenegrin economy and the fact that Montenegro had the highest GDP among the European countries.
He thanked Austrian companies for their large attendance at this event, which shows significant interest in the cooperation with Montenegro and our companies.
He said that Montenegro today was modern, democratic, open, politically stable, multi-confessional and civil state, member of NATO, WTO, World Bank and all relevant international political and economic organizations. Very soon, EU Member as well.
He informed the participants of the event with important projects we are carrying out in the area of transport infrastructure that improve our connection with the region.
“We’re becoming an energy club in the Southeast Europe”, said Mr Simović.
He invited Austrian exporters and merchandise companies to pay attention to Montenegrin organic products and to start cooperation with our producers, since Montenegrin products are high-quality and they would surely find their place in the Austrian market.
Speaking about the strategic goals Montenegro strives to achieve, Mr Simović said that EU membership was our next state objective.
He also invited Austrian companies to come and visit Montenegro and see that the facts they had been presented with weren’t just promotional, marketing story.
Economic possibilities, resources and investment projects and potentials of Montenegro were presented at the event.
