Enes Muric new commander of VCG Infantry Battalion

Lieutenant Colonel Enes Muric is the new commander of the Infantry Battalion of the Armed Forces of Montenegro (VCG), the Ministry of Defence announced.

Muric replaced Colonel Milutin Djurovic at that position. He officially took over new duties in the Milovan Saranovic military facility in Danilovgrad on Friday.

Lt. Col. Muric expressed his gratitude for the position the Chief of General Staff entrusted to him, adding that he would be committed to improve the capacity and capability of the Infantry Battalion.

Muric held numerous command positions in infantry units, including the commander of the 1st Infantry Company, the first VCG unit the development and evaluation of which were implemented in accordance with the NATO Operational Capabilities Concept. Muric was also commander in the first contingent in the ISAF mission and the commander of the second contingent of VCG in the Resolute Support mission in Afghanistan.
