Ever since Montenegro joined NATO until the end of Nov. 2019, the total investment in MNE from NATO member states amounted to 1.3 billion euro, said the Governor of the Central Bank of Montenegro, CBCG, Mr Radoje Žugić.
According to him, only last year, that is, for eleven months, foreign direct investment inflows from NATO members amounted to 248.4 million euro.

“NATO’s impact is maybe the greatest when it comes to our key industry – tourism – which represents a major impetus to our economy,“ Governor Žugić said.
He continued: “Last year, for only 10 months, we collected revenues amounting to 1.52 million euro from NATO member states. In 2016, those same revenues amounted to around 850 million euro.“
