Here are Montenegro’s last-year achievements in the field of agriculture

Montenegrin deputy prime minister for economic policy and financial system and agriculture minister, Milutin Simović, at the yesterday’s conference could not hide his satisfaction with the results his Ministry has achieved so far.

He said the main features of his work were openness and cooperation with agricultural producers and their associations, local self-governments, international partners, as well as with the scientific and professional institutions.

“This year’s Agro-budget has increased by 40%. We have strengthened and established numerous measures. We have invested more than €15m in rural development, whereas around €2m have been invested in the improvement of water supply system in rural areas”, the minister stated.

237 projects amounting to €16m have been negotiated with the support of the European funds and national budget, as well as through the IPARD-Like project.

An innovative concept of further implementation of the ADMAS project (Abu Dhabi Fund for Development) has been adopted, with the aim of significantly expanding the number of users for the remaining $24m.

In his opinion, the implementation of all these measures resulted in positive effects in sale, repurchase and export of products.
