Father of twelve children from Vrela Ribnička tests positive for coronavirus

Institute for Public Health has given competent institutions instructions to take urgent measures of restriction of movement outside residential facility where coronavirus infection has been confirmed in Vrela Ribnička settlement.

B.B. (39), father of 12 children, tested positive for the virus. He says he requested health care earlier but they didn’t show understanding.

“I called ambulance on Tuesday night, around midnight and when I told them I gad diarrhea and fever, they told me it would be good, that I should only take a shower”, B.B. said in a phone call.

B.B. had stomach pains all night long.

“I couldn’t sleep. I was also thinking how to make some money for my children, I don’t work anywhere”, B.B. tells.

“My wife didn’t go anywhere, except to national kitchen where we take one meal a day”, the man explains.

“On Wednesday, police were patrolling next to our buildings and one neighbor asked them to help me. They came and asked me how I felt. Then doctors came and administered two injections for diarrhea. The tested me and said they would inform me about results. They said I was positive for the virus and told they would come to take my family”, B.B. explained.

B.B. and his family have been ordered self-isolation at home. Other family members have been tested.
