Montenegro is committed to strengthening regional cooperation and neighborly relations, as it is one of the main foreign policy goals, crucial to the overall progress of the region”, said secretary of state in the Ministry of defense, Mr Slobodan Filipović, during the meeting of defense Ministers which is taking place in Bucharest.
Mr Filipović pointed out that SEDM initiative was a very important platform for the development of regional cooperation in strengthening integrity in defense sector, leadership of women in security sector, interconnection of military hospitals and development of simulation network in the countries of Southeast Europe.
Identifying terrorism, extremism, migrations, as well as cyber and hybrid threats as common challenges of those countries, Mr Filipović emphasized the importance of united activities aimed against every challenge.
