Yesterday’s news that there has come to a big environmental disaster on the Vezičnica river and the Ćehotina river, and consequently a huge fish mortality rate, caused deep resentment of Pljevlja residents and the whole public. The citizens of Montenegro are impatiently waiting for the outcomes of investigation into the causes of this environmental genocide.
The President of the Municipality of Pljevlja, Mr Igor Golubović, clarifies for CdM that he has already been on the scene and that it’s obvious that there has come to an environmental disaster.
He says that the responsible authorities are doing their job, adding that after the investigation reveals the culprits, criminal charges are to be filed against them.
“This all upsets us a lot. I was on the scene and it’s a disaster! Fish died in mass,” explained Mr Golubović.
