After certain Serbian portals reported that Mr Oliver Varhelyi allegedly said that Mr Duško Marković  told him that the Government was ready to temporarily delay implementation of the Law on Freedom of Religion, Montenegrin authorities responded briefly that Mr Marković had said everything he had regarding that question at the press conference. Mr Marković didn’t mention the delay at all.

Mr Marković said that the Law had been adopted in accordance with the Montenegrin sovereign right to regulate that area in compliance with the best international standards and practices.

And Mr Varhelyi pointed out that it was a problem the EU shouldn’t deal with.

Commissionaire met with the presidents of opposition parties, URA, Socialist Democratic Party and Democrats, Mr Dritan Abazović, Mrs Draginja Vuksanović-Stanković and Mr Aleksa Bečić. According to unofficial statements, they mentioned delay of the application of the new law.
