Government of Serbia secretly gives money to professional Serbs

Srpska kuća u Podgorici

Government of Serbia has provided €1,64 million of one-time assistance for unions and associations of Serbs in Montenegro for the purposes of the implementation of projects and support for their activities. The decision was brought on 21 May. However, Ms Ana Brnabić, Serbia’s Prime Minister, has failed to specify which associations will get the money but instead decided to allocate reserve funds to the General Secretariat of the Government, which means that General Secretariat should have the list of associations that are entitled to the money.

The problem with the decision is that it hasn’t been made public.

In fact, Mr Aleksandar Vučić, Serbia’s president, came up with this idea as several days before he was angry about the statement of Montenegrin officials that Serbia meddles into Montenegro’s internal affairs.

Therefore, Government, general secretariat and others are just executors of the president’s idea no one will oppose to.

There’s no one to remind of the amount of money these unions and associations received in regular competitions for the diaspora programs.

There’s not even real control in the implementation of these projects. Although the money comes from the budget, there’s nobody to supervise projects for which the money was given.

The more money from Serbia, the more they complain about their position.

We’ll see is their position will get any better after €1,64 million.

“Serbian house” case: Government of Serbia transfers ownership to 27 founders

Mr Vućić’s enormous one-time assistance to Serbian organizations is not the only financial assistance for Serbian organizations in MNE. The biggest assistance is the foundation of the Serbian house, which cost Serbian taxpayers €3,36 million.

“Neksan” company, founded and owned by Mr Miodrag Daka Davidović, has sold Government of Serbia over 1.300 square meters of business premises for €3,36 million.

Government of Serbia has then become owner of the basement, ground floor and the first floor of the facility in one of the most attractive locations in Podgorica.

However, Government of Serbia has divided the ownership to 27 founders: Dr Zoran Lakić, Božidar Bojović, Novo Vujošević, Ranko Jovovlć, Vladimir Božović, Drago Perović, Strahinja Bulajić, Momčilo Vuksanović, Budimir Aleksić, Vukić llinčić, Vasilije Radulović, Slaven Radunović, Milutin Đukanović, Novica Đurić, Gojko Raičevič, Vladislav Bojović, Blažo Papović, Veselin Rakčević, Bećir Vuković, Milorad Kadić, Pero Radonjić, Nebojša Strugar, Nataša Jevrić, Željko Komnenović, Goran Kiković, Dragica Perović and director Emilo Labudović.

The majority of the founders are members of Democratic Front.

Timing shows that the money was given for pre-election purposes

The fact that the decision by the Government of Serbia was rendered only two days after video meeting between Mr Andrija Mandić and Mr Aleksandar Vučić, is proof enough that motives of this assistance have pre-election character.

On 19 May, after video meeting with Mr Vučić, Mr Mandić announced a united performance of all Serbian organizations and economic plan for elections.

Serbian organizations are united and unique. Together we are going to win in the elections, Mr Mandić said at the video meeting.
