Government sends Darko Pajovic to be ambassador to China?

Former Positive Montenegro (PCG) leader Darko Pajovic is the most likely candidate for the ambassador of Montenegro to China, Vijesti learns in the government.

Along with his party colleagues Azra Jasavic and Goran Tuponja and DPS MPs, Pajovic enabled the government of Milo Djukanovic to survive the confidence vote in late January 2016.

Pajovic justified his move by requesting the formation of an interim government, which Djukanovic publicly invited the opposition to, as well as maintaining stability on the eve of Montenegro’s accession to NATO.

Five months later, MPs of the DPS, SD and minority parties elected Pajovic the new Parliament speaker instead of SDP leader Ranko Krivokapic.

This political move cost PCG, which was established as opposition party, its parliamentary status on the general elections in October 2016.

The last ambassador of Montenegro to China was Branko Perovic. His term of office expired in January.
