The Electric Power Company of Montenegro, EPCG, is going to build the wind power plant Gvozd and it’s expected to be operational as of 2022, said executive manager within the Directorate for Development and Engineering of the EPCG, Ivan Mrvaljević.

The study on the wind power potential, prepared by the renowned German company Fichtner, is in its final phase, and according to Mrvaljević, will be crucial in financial negotiations on the project implementation, as Dnevne Novine, a daily, put it.

“We have been monitoring the construction of the Krnovo wind farm and concluded that the wind power potential on that location hasn’t been used enough. Based on analyses and our measurements, we found out that there’s a wind power potential on Gvozd. After the project documentation is drawn up, we can be optimistic and say that we will be constructing a new wind farm in 2020,” Mrvaljević told yesterday, at the round table organized by the NGO Green Home.
