Gvozdenović: Hatred is behind us

Gvozdenović

Vice-President of the Parliament of Montenegro and High Official of the Democratic Party of Socialists, Branimir Gvozdenović, welcomes the decision of the majority of the opposition to stop the boycott and he thinks it’s good news for the prosperity of the Montenegrin society. He pointed out that on the occasion of the recent presidential elections, citizens of Montenegro clearly sent out the message that time of hatred had past.

“The harmfulness of the boycott for the democratic prosperity of the society is very evident. I can’t understand that somebody can decide to deprive another person from the right to be represented at the Parliament. As a member of the Parliament and Vice-President of the Parliament, I certainly welcome the termination of he boycott”, says Gvozdenović.

He claims that negative campaign at the elections ruined the opposition. He believes that their failure at the elections was caused by the fact that the citizens were fed up with that “constant negativity”.

“The fact we won the elections doesn’t mean we’re perfect. We won’t allow that the success at the elections camouflages the  shortcomings everybody naturally has. We must, all together, with full responsibility, come back to the principles of political pluralism and raise ourselves beyond the personal or any other conflict cliché”, said Gvozdenović .
