In case that happens, Clinical Center already has tactic.

“In accordance with recommendations and WHO views, isolation of mother and baby is required in such cases. In accordance with the decision of the Crisis Unit, all female patients positive for coronavirus or are suspicious, will be referred to “Codra” private clinic for a delivery process”, Dr Đukić points out.

He said that regular control checks of pregnant women can be carried out in Healthcare center without delay.

Gynecology clinic has provided isolation ambulance for the check of patients suspected to have contracted coronavirus which is completely separated from the regular ambulance.

“Every department of the clinic has isolation rooms and adequate protective equipment”, Dr Đukić said.

According to the data of the WHO, pregnant women are not at greater risk of this virus, in comparison to other respiratory viruses.

Dr Đukić advised all pregnant women to avoid visiting Clinical Center but to call their medical practitioner instead.

“In case respiratory problems appear, it is necessary to first call the Call center of the Institute for Public Health, 1616. In case of uterine contractions or leakage of amniotic fluid, it is advised to first consult on-duty gynecologist on 020/412-589“, Dr Đukić advises.
