After some scandalous messages of hatred towards everything that is Montenegrin, on the occasion of the celebration of one century of the formation of Podgorica Assembly, Montenegrin Party must urgently come out of the government. Political responsibility for such events should be assumed by SDP and civic movement URA.
While people are very worried about the situation, Montenegrin Party does nothing. Functionary of the DPS, Nikola Gegaj, says that Montenegrin Party must leave the government in Budva.
“It’s completely crazy to be in the government with somebody who stirs up hatred, advocate for some destructive ideology and whose only program is the abolition of Montenegrin independence”, says Gegaj. Liberal party and Social Democrats also criticized what happened.
Ruling coalition and Montenegrin party in Budva reached Agreement on cooperation and, in that context, they obliged to avoid commenting on certain subjects publicly and taking part in the events that could damage national, ethnic and religious rights of the citizens of Budva and entire Montenegro. That’s why it remains unclear why Montenegrin Party failed to react to this situation.
Although political parties harshly condemned the messages of hatred, it’s not enough. If they don’t do something concrete about this, the conclusion is clear – they are ready to accept anything for the sake of their functions.
