Healthcare centers lack penicillin but patients aren’t under threat

All healthcare centers have been lacking penicillin since August, because it has been withdrawn from the market by order of “Montefarm”. However, there is an appropriate replacement and patients aren’t under threat.

Penicillin is a beta-lactam antibiotic and is used for the treatment of infections caused by bacteria. Penicillin destroys gram positive pathogens and a specific number of semi-synthetic penicillin is effective at killing gram negative bacteria.

Influenza vaccines arrived

Around 18.580 vaccines against flu arrived on Monday and they are now being distributed to healthcare institutions.

Healthcare centers will inform the citizens about the place and the time of vaccination. Institute for Public Health said that vaccines were the only effective prevention measure when it comes to the prevention of contracting flu or its complications.
