The Public Enterprise for Coastal Zone Management of Montenegro, JPMD, still has no full assessment of damage caused by storms in the second half of March. According to information of Pobjeda, this enterprise is currently monitoring the sites and they hope to have approximate estimates of damage in the following days.
“Seawalls and the structure of sandy beaches have been severely affected due to storm surge flooding. The storm caused damage in the Boka Bay, mostly in Igalo and Topla,“ the JPMD stated. The company also said the storm damage cleanup will be implemented in three phases, adding that consequences of the storm do not affect tender negotiations over the public beaches along the sea.
