Head of the Tax Administration, Mr Miomir M. Mugoša, didn’t violate the Law on Tax Administration when he said that the Metropolitanate of Montenegro and the Littoral, MCP, represented the largest religious community in Montenegro in many aspects, including the fact that it possessed the greatest number of open bank accounts in commercial banks compared to other religious communities, this institution [the Tax Administration] told Dan daily.

They claim that Mr Mugoša did not mention the exact number of bank accounts so there was no violation of law provisions.

In addition, the Tax Administration stated that “the inspection control over religious communities has been launched, and all facts relevant to verifying the regularity of calculation, filing and payment of tax liabilities will be identified.”
