Institute for Public Health confirms 69 new coronavirus cases

Another three patients in Montenegro have died due to COVID-19 complications. In the last 24 hours, laboratories of the Institute for Public Health analyzed 432 samples and found 69 new coronavirus cases. Institute also reported 161 recovered cases. There are currently 1242 active coronavirus cases in Montenegro.

“New cases are from Podgorica -23, Nikšiž – 17, Bijelo Polje – 7, Budva – 4, Berane – 3, Pljevlja – 3, Herceg Novi – 3, Ulcinj – 1, Kotor – 1, Cetinje – 1 and Plužine-1”, Institute reported.

Patients who died were from Pljevlja, Bijelo Polje and Rožaje and were born in 1957, 1961 and 1931. Total number of COVID-19-related death cases is 51 since the beginning of June.

“Number of active cases in the municipality of Rožaje amounts to 15 as due to administrative mistake that number was higher in yesterday’s overview which included persons who were contacts, not infected cases”, Institute explained.

Total number of registered coronavirus cases since the beginning of year amounts to 3480.

Bijelo Polje 324, Plužine 308, Berane 283, Bar 281, Podgorica 259, Cetinje 222, Budva 208, Kotor 195, Andrijevica 177, Pljevlja 172, Gusinje 165, Nikšić 148, Ulcinj 135, Tivat 71, Herceg Novi 65, Rožaje 65, Žabljak 56, Plav 46, Kolašin 48, Petnjica 36, Danilovgrad 16, Mojkovac 12. Municipalities of Tuzi and Šavnik are currently coronavirus-free.
