After all piers of the Moracica bridge on the priority section of the Bar – Boljare highway were installed, works on the girder construction of the highest bridge on the territory of former Yugoslavia have begun, CdM learns.

The Moracica bridge contains five piers. It is 960 meters long and 23.40 meters wide. The highest pillar is 180 meters high along with the ground and construction, ie the height of the pillar itself is 161.5 meters.

The maximum span between the piers is 190 meters.

No one in the region has undertaken this kind of venture. This will be the highest bridge on the territory of the former Yugoslavia.

Tunnelling of the Jabucki Krs and Klopot has been completed, as well as one tube of the Mrke tunnel.

Impressive structures on the route, such as the Moracica bridge and the Vjeternik tunnel, will be examples of modern transport infrastructure in the region and beyond.
