Andrija Jovićević

Andrija Jovićević, who’s likely to run for the country’s presidency as the Democratic Front’s (DF) candidate, in case he accepts presidential candidacy, first will have to visit the Special State Prosecutor’s Office and then continue with his campaign, according to weekend edition of Dnevne Novine.

Three years ago, Informer daily revealed that chief state prosecutor, Milivoje Katnić, was investigating a criminal charge filed by Vasilije Mijović, former State Security Service officer, who claimed Andrija Jovićević had been involved in a plot for Milo Đukanović assassination in the end of 2007. A day after the article was published, chief state prosecutor Milivoje Katnić confirmed the information to Dnevne Novine.

However, no indictments have ever been declared until know. The public assumes preliminary enquires are still taking place as Jovićević hasn’t issued any statement to the media.
