Kajošaj: We’ll block Deponija

We are not going to wait forever to take over Deponija company, which is on our territory, but we are going to shut it down. We might do the same with wells in Dinoša and Vuksanlekići, said Mr Fadilj Kajošaj, president of the Municipal Assembly of Tuzi, commenting on the current situation in the negotiation over the division of property between the Capital and the Municipality of Tuzi.

Mr Kajošaj says they won’t allow any works initiated by Deponija. Company’s property is in the cadastral parcel of Tuzi and, in accordance with the Law on Territorial Organization, territory of one municipality overlaps with the borders of cadastral municipalities.

“If the Capital fails to come to its senses, we’ll take action. Deponija director has said recently that they will start working on the fourth sanitary bath. They should know that without the consent of Tuzi, there won’t be any construction. They must know it. We said what we want. It is now up to them to either accept that or not. In the worst case, we will block the activities of Deponija because we won’t allow anybody to come to our territory and do whatever they want. We are willing to cooperate but since they aren’t, we are forced to do what we think is right”, said Mr Kajošaj.

Mr Kajošaj stresses that the Capital is not acting fairly in the process of property division.

“What the Capital is doing here is a reflection of political immaturity and disrespect for laws.We had several proposals but the Capital found them all unacceptable. They think they will get what they want through arbitration but they are wrong”, Mr Kajošaj concludes.
