One of the leaders of Democratic Front (DF), Mr Milan Knežević, said today during constitutive session of the Parliament of Montenegro that this alliance proposed Mr Aleksa Bečić for president of the parliament and Mr Zdravko Krivokapić for prime minister-designate.
As he said, they will not allow informal centers of power that acted from the opposition shadow and had business arrangements with the first family, to form the government.
“By this I mean off-shore patriarch Željko Ivanović, one of the owners of Vijesti, who expressed his doubt that DF will betray and lend a helping hand to Milo Đukanović and that we amassed tens of millions of euros to support Đukanović”, Mr Knežević said.
He then showed a photo of Mr Đukanović and Mr Ivanović, commenting that Mr Ivanović wants to replace Mr Đukanović and progress from the second family to the first.
“Mr Ivanović, who got his first million by stealing it from Mr Đukanović, is now accusing us of lending helping hand to Đukanović. Well, we say to Željko Ivanović: DF will not betray”, Mr Knežević pointed out.
He stressed that DF supported Mr Bečić and Mr Krivokapić as president of the parliament and prime minister-designate respectively.
Mr Knežević reiterated that they didn’t want positions and the only thing they cared about “is the future of Montenegro and all its nations”.
“We expect everybody in the parliament today to comment on the proposals. May long live Montenegro and our Serbian people, wherever they are”, Mr Knežević said.
He added that freedom was won under the banners of steadfastness and courage.
“The freedom that must not turn into defeat. Nobody will jeopardize that freedom, nobody will question wishes of thousands and thousands of citizens who voted for the future of Montenegro. Particularly we, who fought for that freedom under the tents in front of the Parliament, will not allow that, because we were arrested, beaten, persecuted, all for the sake of that freedom”, Mr Knežević said.
