Meljine complex company is ready to immediately pay the debt to the Director of the hospital in Meljine, Olivera Mihajlović-Elez. The debt amounts €19.040. Last year, Mrs Mihajlović-Elez submitted the request for the bankruptcy proceedings. The owner of the company in Herceg Novi is Duško Knežević.

Attorney of Meljine Complex, Milovan Milošević, said during the hearing yesterday that the bankruptcy debtor had provided funds for settlement of whole debt.

“Considering that bankruptcy proceedings has been initiated against Atlas Bank, claims of the proposer can’t be settled by the deposited funds. For that reason, bankruptcy debtor has provided other funds. Bankruptcy debtor want the founder to settle whole debt-claim”, said Mr Milošević.

He pointed out that Meljine complex has assets with the total value of more than €50 million before the declaration of bankruptcy. Mrs Mihajlović-Elez was familiar with that and she could have charged the debt from the assets.

Mrs Mihajlović-Elez stayed committed to instigating bankruptcy proceedings against Knežević’s company. She also denied having the account of the last report from last August.

Temporary receiver of Meljine Complex, Mr Saša Zejak, said that Mihajlović-Elez’s claims can be settled by bankruptcy debtor in accordance with the law.

Hearing for determining the reasons for the initiation of bankruptcy proceedings was postponed to 23 May. In the next three days, Mrs Mihajlović-Elez is supposed to deliver her account number.
