Coronavirus: Eight more people have died, 193 new infections

Eight more people were killed by Covid-19 in a single day in Montenegro. The patients counted in today’s death toll were from Cetinje, Podgorica, Ulcinj (3), Herceg Novi, Nikšić and Pljevlja. Meanwhile, 193 new cases were recorded as well as 223 recoveries. There are currently 3.765 active cases, i.e. 598 infections per 100K people.

“Labs of the Public Health Institute as well as private labs carrying out PCR diagnosis of the coronavirus have pulled 743 samples for PCR testing in the last 24 hours and detected 193 new cases,” the Institute announced.

New cases are from Podgorica 77, Nikšić 50, Pljevlja 19, Bijelo Polje 12, Žabljak 12, Bar 8, Berane 4, Cetinje 4 and Andrijevica 4, Kotor 1, Danilovgrad 1 and Kolašin 1.

Data show there have now been 254 coronavirus-related deaths in MNE from early June, i.e. 263 since the pandemic started in March.
